World's Fastest Drummer PASIC's Fastest 2019
The WFD PASIC's Fastest 2019 Competition was a heated throwdown at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, IN
at the Indiana Convention Center. The event brought non-stop excitment and fierce competition for those who stepped up to compete and for those
who came out just to watch the action.
By midday on the first day of competition, Zare Stackhouse was holding in the top spot in the Battle of the Hands, while Dane Slinger topped the Battle of
the Feet. By 3:00 pm that afternoon, Stackhouse had fallen to fifth position in the standings and Marc Wilkens had risen to first place with his score of 953. Meanwhile, Slinger
was holding in fifth place with a score of 726 and Trent Cuvy had risen to the top of the Battle of the Feet scoreboard with 883.
At the end of day two, Wilkens was still holding firm in the top rank of the Battle of the Hands standings, despite some fierce competition that was knocking on his doorstep.
Second place, with a score of 918, was currently held by Brain Gonzalez and rounding out the top three was Wesley Ostrander in third with a score of 879.
In the Battle of the Feet, Cuvy likewise was holding firm in first place with an 87 point lead over second place. Slinger had been putting up a valiant
effort and had overtaken second and third place with scores of 796 and 776.
The final day of competition brought the most heated and intense round of the event as it came down to the final tug-of-war to see who truly
would prove themselves to be PASIC's Fastest. As the dust settled and the final scores were officially ranked, the Battle of the Feet saw Dan Laskowski
claim third place with 754 while second place with a mere 4 point lead was Wesley Ostrander. First place was officially awarded to Dane Slinger who held fast
with a top score of 796. In the Battle of the Hands competition, we saw Ostrander on the board again with a score of 879 in third place. Second place
was claimed by Brian Gonzalez with 918, and Marc Wilkens was awarded the Fastest Hands winner with his high score of 953.
